The Right Honourable Sir Winston Churchill
04-09-2019
His biography reads like a thriller. Not the heir to family titles but still with the heritage of nobles and heroes in his soul and, clearly, their strengths and intelligence and capabilities in his bones. Sir Winston Churchill saved Britain and helped save the world from tyranny—and is remembered for that and much more by historians and anglophiles around the world (and anyone who can think). There’s a wonderful, short biographical write up at at the Nobel Prize site (he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953). As we near the mark of the 50th anniversary of his death, or when almost any World War II anniversary comes up, so many of us like to remember and honor this remarkable treasure of a man.
The Right Honourable Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill 1874—1965. He died on January 24th.
